Holidaying in NZ

My MIL went to Sydney last month to visit her eldest daughter and last week his youngest son who accompanied her in this trip brought her to New Zealand. Fuwah! The country that I always dream of going. If possible, live there. hehe. God willing, one day hubby and I will get the chance to visit NZ too. I was telling hubby that the best way to really enjoy the beautiful NZ scenery is by traveling in one of the mobile homes. We can save on accommodation and food too, I can cook. Let me be financial free first than we plan for our NZ holiday. :) Buy my apartment lar. It is negotiable lar.

Beach Holiday

A few days ago, I let my children watch the video of our previous holidays. They like beach holiday the most; especially the swimming pool part. Since I am the camera/videowoman, I can't join them in the pool. Furthermore since it is the public place, I've got to keep an eye on our belonging laying at the their Picnic Tables.

While waiting, I keep myself comfortable laying at one of their Adirondack chairs reading a book when I got bored of shooting them. ;)

Park Benches are a great place to meet people. I made friends while hanging out at the park benches during our holidays while watching our children play at the playground.

Golf Vacation

Today, my children are supposed to go with their aunt up to Cameron Highland for a short holiday. Unfortunately the plan was cancelled last minute due to wedding invitation! Oh well, looks like I have to bring them for a holiday. I thought can save some money by letting them follow their aunt then I can save up for Myrtle Beach hotel.

It will be nice if we can have golf too instead of just swimming during the vacation. I need to practice my swing which I have not done for years. At http://www.horizonmyrtlebeach.com I might get good bargain for a golf vacation.

As always, I must read what others got to say about the hotels before I make my booking. That will be my homework this week; reading about Myrtle Beach best hotels then pick the best that suits my family's need.

Long School Break

The month of November is here and in 2 weeks time the schools will close until next year. School going children will always look forward to this day because they do not have to wake up early and go to school for many, many days.

We wanted to bring them for a short holiday but as you know, we do not have the means to do that due to the bills that we had to pay recently. Furthermore, our cars are also not fit to bring us further than PD without getting the roadside assistance plan just in case it broke down half way.

Maybe we will figure out something for them that will not cost us more than RM200. ;)

Holiday Food

The best diet pill on the market is needed after this long school holiday. Holiday always come hand in hand with food; glorious food. This school holiday we went to stay in a palm oil estate. Living in an estate means that we have ample space to exercise but not for me. I was confined in the house due to my baby. We had good breakfast, lunch and BBQ dinner! We ate till our hearts content.

Moving to KK

We just received a newsletter from our missionary friends who are currently serving in Cameron Highland that they will be moving to Kota Kinabalu by end of this year. They are going to continue their studies there if I am not mistaken. Thank God they are not going as far as the cosmetology schools in Wichita. ;)

If that's the case, if we do not go visit them by this October, we won't step foot in Cameron Highland again. There is nothing for us to look forward going there. Going to KK to visit them is way too costly for a family of 6. :(

Kids Not Allowed in the Jacuzzi

During our recent church camp at Bayu Beach Resort, PD, the children were having fun swimming in the pool. Then they wanted to try out the jacuzzi. Even though I did not follow them to the jacuzzi area, I have a good view of them. Unfortunately, they did not get to enjoy the bubble water because the lifeguard chase them out of there. It could be an adult need to be in the jacuzzi with them but the water is so shallow. The swimming pool depth is deeper and I don't need to be in there with them!

How Much Does It Cost for a 3D2N In Genting Highland

A week ago we managed to spend 3D2N in Genting Highland and spent about RM800 for the whole trip; from Malacca and back to Malacca.

Thanks to a friend who works in Genting World head office, we managed to get a good deal on the hotel stay during that weekend. We also have the shareholder vouchers which we used to get discounted meals and also Buy 2 Free 1 Theme Park Ticket.

My children had an experience plucking strawberries at a strawberry park in Genting Highland and I also bought some souvenirs home all for RM800. :D

Genting Highland Resort Getaway

We finally made it a point to go for a short family holiday in 2 weeks time. I picked Genting Highland coz it will be fun for the children and I can get good room deal from a good friend of mine.

We were given an option to go whether this weekend or next 2 weekend. We picked next 2 weekend hoping that one of hubby's part-time could work the whole day on Friday.

And you know what? Today he worked till 7pm! And tomorrow he will work till 6pm then another part-time will continue till closing. We should have picked this weekend to go to Genting!

Thank God that we did not pick this weekend coz almost everyone is down with cold. if we are there now, my children and I will have difficulty breathing.

So now, we are praying that in 2 weekend time, both part-timers will have the same working schedule as this week. :)

New Year's Vacation

This morning, my blogs made me panicked for a lil while. I have assignments to complete but all my Wordpress blog refused to publish my post. I texted my webhost to check out the problem but there was none. He can publish from his side and asked me to try. I tried and my post was published. That is really weird. I told him, maybe God wants me to talk to him before he goes to the all inclusive vacation that he has been saving for.

He told me that he has been saving for this all inclusive vacation package for a few years and only this year he is able to go. Good for him.

I must start saving for a vacation for my family this year. Caribbean vacation would be wonderful but I don't think I can afford to bring all the 6 of us there. If I ever go there, it will just be hubby and I; 2nd honeymoon. ;)

A Holiday with a Peace of Mind

I was so relieved that the advertiser that I am working for finally paid me after more than a month of delay. Now I can go for my family vacation in peace. It is no fun going for a vacation without cash in hand. If I have not purchased the flight ticket, I think I would cancel the vacation.

And continue saving until I can afford to go for a vacation to places like Riviera Maya and stay in Azul Beach Hotel Resort that offers families a new way to vacation. Parents are pampered with adult-sized indulgences as well as extras like strollers, cribs, baby milk heaters, beach games, coloring books, refrigerators for milk and medicines, and even kid-sized bathrobes.

Flight To Kuching Booked

We are finally flying to Kuching after all.

Before my baby came out, I saw the RM29 promotion by AirAsia. Hubby gave the green light to go ahead with the booking but my baby is still in my tummy then; no name, no birth cert.

By the time we got registered his name, the date that we wanted has no more RM29 promotion. Yesterday, my sister in Kuching managed to find another earlier date but it is during weekdays.

I quickly grabbed it because my purpose to go to Kuching is to let my children experience flying in an aeroplane; not so much of sightseeing.

For RM650, 5 Adults and 1 Infant will be flown to Kuching this July. Good bargain or not? =D

Family Vacation

I hope to get some extra income from my blogging so that we can afford a family vacation after my confinement period. Cancun All Inclusive Family Vacation sounds very tempting but don't think we can afford to go there yet. The Azul Beach Hotel there offers families a new way to vacation. Parents are pampered with adult-sized indulgences as well as extras like strollers, cribs, baby milk heaters, beach games, coloring books, refrigerators for milk and medicines, and even kid-sized bathrobes. This is what I am looking for. Unfortunately, our local resorts does not provide the above even though they claim to be family friendly hotel. :(

Really Good Friday

Today is definitely a Good Friday for me.

I managed to reserve quite a few opps from 2 networks and finished them on the same day because I have too. I can give birth anytime now. If I don't do it immediately, it will surely be a waste of USD.

Even though I slept around 3.30am and woke up at 7.30am, I managed to take a nap from 11.30am to 1.30pm after sending my children to my mom's. Thank God for Moms. =)

Hmmm...now I am wondering whether this day will be the birth of my 4th child or maybe he wants to wait till Easter Sunday.

I hope we could go for a short family vacation after my confinement period. The first month is always the toughest.

Boh Kam Guan

Hmmm...if I chance a few alphabets it will become hubby's Chinese name! LOL

Boh Kam Guan means not satisfied. I hope my spelling is correct. :P

I am not satisfied with the recent stay in Glory Beach Resort, PD.

I kept lamenting in my mind...

I wish I booked one day earlier with MariMari then I would have fun at Tiara Beach Resort, PD. They need at least 3 full working days to process your booking! So mah fun.

I wish hubby would be willing to sacrifice his rest for the sake of his wife and children. If only he is willing to drive to Genting Highland. I even offered to drive for one hour each way but he stills want to go some where nearer.

Arrgggg!!! I want to go to Genting Highland before I pop!!! I want to see my children really have fun playing and swimming the whole day! I want a dip in the hot water pool in Genting!

Glory Beach Resort, Port Dickson at only RM155 from CutiCuti

For RM155 we got a 2 bedrooms apartment at Glory Beach Resort, Port Dickson but I'd rather pay the same amount to get just a Studio Room at Bayu Beach Resort or Tiara Beach Resort which comes with breakfast.

For RM155, we don't get any breakfast.

For RM155, we got 1 Queen Size Bed and 1 Single Bed. The Single Bed room comes with ceiling fan only; no air-cond.

The RM155 is for 3 Adult occupancy but we were given only 2 bath towels! You have to request for another towel, then only they will give!

For RM155, the bathroom floor towel will only be given upon request!

For RM155, we got stained coffee cups in the room. The stain goes off when I washed it. Obviously it was not cleaned properly or maybe it was just being rinsed only!

For RM155, you can only get 2 towels at the Swimming Pool. I asked for another one, the receptionist told me 2 bedrooms apartment can only get 2 towels even though the 2 bedrooms apartment is for 3 adults. That is their stupid policy!

For RM155, we have to share the swimming pool with the public.

For RM155, we got a very dirty beach. The sea water is black in colour! Our Klebang Beach, Melaka sea water is cleaner than theirs!


For RM155, we got a double standard lifeguard. Malays and young pretty girls are allowed to swim in the adult pool in their normal clothes (no swimsuit) but not a preggy and ugly mommy with a swim pant but not the top. I am not going to spend hundred of RM for just an hour in the swimming pool.

For RM155, there is absolutely no entertainment for the children at night. Say only got Video Arcade. What we found was a rusted, abandon container with the name of Video Arcade printed on the body.

The only thing that I am happy about is I was given a room near the lift, the swimming pool and the car park because I told the receptionist to have mercy on this preggy mommy. :P

Will I ever return? The answer is a big fat NO. Give me free stay also I won't go.

Yay! Family Holiday is Confirmed

My children wanted to go to Tiara Beach Resort so I made my booking through MariMari on Wednesday afternoon but they could not accept it because it must be done within 3 working days before the date of checking in. We are going on Sunday you see. So, there goes their business.

The next day, through CutiCuti I found out another resort in PD that offers the same price with 2 bedrooms. I see this as a blessing in disguised. And they do not require until 3 working days, only one working day to confirm my reservation.

The resort may not be as luxurious as the all inclusive vacation offered by Karisma but as long as there is white sandy beach and swimming pool, my children will be very happy. =)

Year End Vacation

My mom and sisters just came back from a 3D2N holiday in Genting Highland. My MIL too just came back from 5D4N vacation in Bali, Indonesia.

I soooooo envy them. I wish I can go for an all inclusive vacation right now. I really need a break but I couldn't. 2 reasons; one, I am pregnant and two, I am broke!

My dream vacation can only be realised if I pawn my silver and gold jewelries. But who in the right mind would pawn their "precious" just for a vacation!

I am praying that 2009 will be a year of financial blessing for us; especially for hubby's business so that I can concentrate on raising up my 4 children and not blogging as often as I used too. =)

Homestay in Bukit Rambai, Melaka

Well, yesterday we met a potential tenant for our apartment. High possibility that they will rent the apartment; we will know by today.

Once that apartment is rented, I have no more Holiday Apartment to rent. But for those bloggers that plans to find a cheap place to stay when visiting Melaka, I have another option for you.

Stay at my kampung house! We have extra rooms to rent out. Fully furnished! If you wanna try Nyonya food, please inform me in advance. =)

The price, we have yet to decide. Won't be more than RM100 per night. =)

School Holiday Vacation

The school holiday starts this weekend. Mine will only start on Dec 1st. What am I going to do with them 24/7 for that one month? Really have to crack my head to come up with interesting activities for them. My girls have been asking for Genting Holiday or Port Dickson. Thank God I have not introduce to them the Orlando vacations. I will surely have to disappoint them. :( Anyway, I hope I will have some extras next month to bring them for a short trip to either Genting or PD. So, where are you bringing your children this school holiday?
