New Year Spring Cleaning

New Year is here and Chinese New Year is at the end of this month. I started a mini spring cleaning last week. Minimizing the amount of stuff in the store cum toy room. The room has always been neat and tidy until my youngest BIL did some spring cleaning in the dining hall and dumb everything into the storeroom. Yes, like really dumb...not arranging them neatly. Everything was all over the place and being stepped on when one need to look for their stuff. I did a lot of throwing. Most of them are toys which were given to my kids which have already broken. There were some hardware tool which we can't use because hubby was not around when I bought these. Wrong size! Anyway, the storeroom looks more pleasing to the eyes now and we found a few of our "lost" items.

Cafeteria Tables

Hubby has many siblings. 11 of them all together. Due to that, the normal dining table is not enough to fit all of them. So, my late FIL with the help of one of his son in laws built 2 cafeteria tables. Thanks to them, we can open our house for men's fellowship and women's fellowship. Enough for everyone to sit and have fellowship over delicious spread of food. ;)

Rented Apartment fetches Higher Value

Yesterday, hubby received a phone call from a prospective buyer of my apartment at BBU. This time, he was kind of reluctant to sell the apartment. After thinking through it, we realised that for the past 8 years, since the day we bought the apartment, God never fail us in helping to get tenants for that apartment. So, it is worth to keep the apartment. We will still sell it if there is a buyer who wants to buy it at the price we requested.

Holidaying in NZ

My MIL went to Sydney last month to visit her eldest daughter and last week his youngest son who accompanied her in this trip brought her to New Zealand. Fuwah! The country that I always dream of going. If possible, live there. hehe. God willing, one day hubby and I will get the chance to visit NZ too. I was telling hubby that the best way to really enjoy the beautiful NZ scenery is by traveling in one of the mobile homes. We can save on accommodation and food too, I can cook. Let me be financial free first than we plan for our NZ holiday. :) Buy my apartment lar. It is negotiable lar.

Basement Tiling

10 years ago, I tiled my 18x12 bedroom floor for RM1k only. Recently my grandaunt tiled her outdoor floor which is about 4 times the size of my bedroom at RM15k. The price of the tiles really shot up since 10 years ago! I wonder how much would the basement tiles cost then. I read that it is not easy to tile the basement floor. Moist control must be taken into consideration and ceramic tile would be a better option.

Super Single Mattress with Divan

Hubby's siblings bought a super single mattress with divan for their mom this Christmas. The price is quite affordable. It is less than RM1200 for the set.

Blessing of having many siblings, each of them need only come our RM113 for their mom's Christmas present.

Is Your Home Secured

I know that some of us who love soap opera or Korean drama on Direct TV can really be engrossed with the show that they don't realised the things that happened around them. My mom often commented this, "When you all watch TV, if got thief breaks in the house you also won't realise it.

It is kind of scary what TV can do to us! So, to be on the safe side, we installed security camera outside the house and security alarm too from home security suncitywest. Now we can watch our favorite Korean drama in peace.

Talking about Korean drama, I wonder whether episode 12 of Baby-Faced Beauty is online now. I better go check now. :)

11 Puppies

In beginning there was 12 puppies. One died after a heavy rain. Poor puppy. It must be the weakest amongst the 12. And now we are down to 11 puppies and they are all cute, chubby and healthy.

After the heavy rain, we moved the puppies to our car porch. They are sheltered from rain and sun. They place where they mommy loves to hang out during the night.

Unfortunately as they grown bigger, they poop more and their poop stinks too. Their mommy stopped eating their poop too. I started looking for ways to get rid of their poop odor at http://www.thesteamteam.com/pet-odor-treatment.shtml. I looked for odor removal tips from the website then hubby suggested that it is best we moved them to our store house so that they can poop at the ground just outside the store house. And we did that.

No more stinking car porch. :D

Flood Damage

These days, whenever it rains more than 24 hours, there will sure be flood at the low land area which has been reclaimed to build houses and business park. God created the swamp area for a reason. When there is no more swamp land, the rain water has no where to go but into people's house. Then people start calling for the water flood damage austin.

Those who have wooden floor will suffer more because they have to spend more to pay the water damage floor austin to get their floor fixed. That is the reason I will never a house which is built on reclaimed land.

The best is to buy a house on the hill but not too high on the hill. Then you will face the risk of landslides! So far, I only know of water damage home austin to extract the flood water from your home but to extract soil from your home; I have not come across such company yet. ;)

Bathroom Leakage

One after another. We just spent more than 7k to renovate our wet kitchen and changed the roofing too. Soon it will be the bathroom roofing and if God blesses us with extra income, I would love to have another bathroom to be attached to my existing bedroom. I want a bathtub in it so that I relax and de-stress in a bubble bath after a tiring day with the kids and household chores. Even better if I can afford a jacuzzi bathroom suite like the one I saw at www.betterbathrooms.com.

From Carpet to Tile

I used to place carpets in my room when I was single. Once I got married and planned to have children, that was the first thing that I throw out my room. I can't stand the smell of urine which was left overnight. Even with the help of urine odor removal carpet austin, without direct sunlight, I doubt the odor can be eliminated 100%.

Then there's the stain when the older kids spill their cocoa drinks, orange juice, and worst when they vomited on my carpet. Thank God with the stain and odor removal austin, these problem can be solved but it will cost more money in the long run.

Repair Cost

Hubby sent email to all his brothers asking whether they can contribute to the cost of repair of the family house; the dry kitchen, the wet kitchen and the porch. The contractor estimate 13k for it. So we at least need to standby 15k additional unforeseen cost.

Unfortunately, none of them reply coz they have their own financial commitment too. If only we have invested in gold bullion 10 years ago. We do not have to ask for money from the rest to repair the family house. 10 years ago, the price of gold was less than RM60/g. Today the price of gold has doubled!

Estate Bungalow

This year we are spending our Aidil Fitri in a palm oil estate. Unfortunately due to having a baby with me, I still have not tour the estate yet. Most of my time are spent in this huge estate bungalow which I can only afford if I own lots of bullion. I wish one day we can afford to build a bungalow as big as this one; huge living hall and very spacious room. Well, well, wishes will only come true if we do something about it. I must start investing more in gold then. Hopefully in 10 years time, the price of gold will tripled and I will be rich! hehehe.

Durable Shed

We have a shed that is made of wood and at the look of it, it won't stand much longer. Many parts of the wood has been eaten by the termites. It would be wonderful if we can have the DuraMax Colossus Metal Storage Sheds 50231. The shed is large enough to store bikes, mowers, and other recreational, lawn and garden equipment and supplies. And the best part is, the size can be extended.

Walk in Bathtubs

When I was younger (I am still young now ok! :P ), I love climbing into the bathtub to take a swim. We have a huge bathtub where I can stretch my whole body when I was 7yo. Ok, Ok, I am short then. :P

When we renovated the house, I have to bid farewell to my mini swimming pool coz my dad planned to buy one of those walk in bathtubs for my grandparents. But then it is ok coz, I was 19yo by then. I can mo longer "swim" in that bathtub. ;)

Scribbled Wall

The paint on the wall still look as though it has been painted yesterday. Unfortunately, one small corner of it was scribbled by one of the children; not mine of course. :P I wonder whether Anilox can help remove the ink without removing the painted layer.

Since I don't have that much $$$ to re-paint that wall, I was thinking to hide it by pushing one of the dining tables near the wall and the scribbled part can't be seen. ;)

Chinese New Year Decoration

When I was young decorating of the house was entrusted to me. I was so happy that I was given the responsibility to do that. I went to look for a nice branch, bought some flowers and ornaments and a nice plum blossom tree was erected to beautify our kampung house. If my parents were richer, I am sure their would change the house lighting to
Dolan Designs.

This year, my eldest child is going to be 7 years old. Well, I guess she is old enough to be given this responsibility. But I will have to look for the branches for her.

Neglected Baby

I was so busy yesterday preparing for a visit from a famous blogger friend from KL; Chinnee until my 5mo baby is neglected and underfed! Why did I say that? Because he did not poop yesterday! =( My poor baby. Anyway, I promised him that once the helper returns to this Thursday, I will let go all the housework and cooking to her and my time will be solely for my children. I want to feed my baby as frequent as he wants too and as long as he wants to latch. And if possible, I do not want to hear him cry because no one attends to him. I will help the helper only when my baby sleeps; wiping the tv stands because she always miss out this one!

Glass Tile

It would be nice if my bathroom is covered with glass tile. They look so elegant. If I can afford it, I might want my bathroom to be covered with glass tile but I must have a helper to clean it.

With 4 small children and no helper around, I don't even have time to clean my bathrooms except the toilet bowl! Well, if I can afford to hire a helper, I'm sure I can afford to buy glass tiles. ;)

Pressure Washer

This house will be pack by tomorrow night as almost everyone is coming back for their favorite aunt funeral on Sunday. And before they comes back, I have a lot of cleaning up to do especially the outdoor.

Ever since MIL and maid left this house, I can only manage to clean indoor and only once my eldest daughter and I managed to sweep the leaves at the back of our houses when baby is sleeping. After that, no more chance to sweep the leaves because baby does not nap in the evening; the best time to sweep leaves when it is not hot anymore.

This evening, we need to wash the verandah; dogs' fur, urine and poops! I wish we have one of those pressure washers. Makes cleaning fast and easy. No need to wait for hubby to do the washing.
