Chinese New Year Decoration

When I was young decorating of the house was entrusted to me. I was so happy that I was given the responsibility to do that. I went to look for a nice branch, bought some flowers and ornaments and a nice plum blossom tree was erected to beautify our kampung house. If my parents were richer, I am sure their would change the house lighting to
Dolan Designs.

This year, my eldest child is going to be 7 years old. Well, I guess she is old enough to be given this responsibility. But I will have to look for the branches for her.

No Homemade Cookies This Chinese New Year

Due to busyness, this year I don't have time to bake any cookies for Chinese New Year. I am not so sure whether I can help my mom bake pineapple tarts this time around.

My daily schedule is very packed. The little time that I have in between, I'll try to catch a short nap or go online. To bake, I need plenty of time which I don't have.

I hope other in laws that are not so busy would bring home some cookies. If not, we will just buy some from the night market.

RM6 Birthday Cake

This is how I only spent RM6 for the above birthday cake for my 3yo son.

I bought a butter cake from a cake shop that cost only RM6. Then I used the left over buttercream icing from last week birthday party to decorate it. And the candles, you can get it free from the cake shop when you purchased the butter cake.

And I got a happy birthday boy. Hey, all a kid wants is candles to blow and cake to "chop". And the best part is, my birthday boy get to decorate his own birthday cake. =D

CNY Photos

I planned to take as many photos as possible during this Chinese New Year celebration. I even wanted to got one 4gb micro sd memory card. I wanted to make full use of the online printing blogger review promotion and also their 4R = RM0.30 promotion.

Sadly, I got lazy...more of I got lost with so many people in my house and so many of them snapping here and there. I ended up taking less than 10 photos this CNY! Maybe I don't fancy taking candid photos.

Christmas Party Ideas

We went to Mydin just now to look for a pair of slip-on for my daughter because she kept squeezing her big feet into her cousin's slip-on. Unfortunately, we went to the wrong place. The shoe was not bought there but at Bunga Raya; that place is another part of the town.

Since we have time before hubby starts work again at 10pm, we just window shop and I saw a few items that are perfect and cheap for Christmas present. But I did not buy them yet because I have yet to plan on how many to buy.

Next I have to think of Christmas Party Ideas . Christmas won't be fun without any party right? Especially when you have kids and big family that love to gather during festive season.

If you do not want to crack your head to think about how to have your Christmas party or you are not creative enough like me, check put www.celebrations.com. There, everything is laid out for you. From party themes, to decoration, to food and to gifts and games idea. There are so many to choose from and I hope I can afford to hold a party every month!

Angpow Packets

Yesterday, the lady boss gave us a stack of Angpow packet (red packet). Empty ones.  It seems that this year the bank gives out a lot of red packet. I remembered 2 to 3 years ago, red packet was so scarce that we have to buy them. This year we have more than enough but we don’t have much $$$ to put them inside the red packet. Hahaha.
