Cheapest 8 course wedding luncheon

On Easter we had the cheapest 8 course wedding luncheon. We attended an Easter Sunday Evangelistic Service followed by lunch. The service and lunch were held in a school hall. We paid RM10 only for each person. The actual cost per person is RM16; RM6 is subsided by our church. It is only RM160 per table!

The menu is as below and the food taste delicious too.

1. 5 Season Cold Dish
2. Steamed Herbal Chicken
3. Assam Siakap Fish
4. Steamed Buns with Stewed Pork
5. Fried Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf
6. Braised Baby Bok Choi with abalone mushroom
7. Fried Prawns
8. A small box of Ice Cream each

And there were only 3 adults and 6 children at our table. My family and a father with his 2 young girls. Their have to leave to go somewhere after the 5th course. Hubby and I ate until we surrender. I even pack some prawns home! hahahaha. Time for creatine powders!!!

Bridemaid Dresses

Before I got married, I love looking at bridesmaid dresses to look for ideas to sew my own bridesmaid dress. I ended up tailored made a simple white bridesmaid dress because my bridesmaid wants a simple bridesmaid dress. Good for me because it would cost me a fortune if she wants an elaborate bridesmaid dress. Besides bridesmaid dress, I also tailored made my flower girls dress too; all 5 of them.

Practical Engagement Gift

I still remember vaguely about my engagement day. There was an exchange of rings at my parent’s house and later in the evening we had an engagement party at hubby’s house. It was also hubby’s birthday on that day. So we had 2 in 1 celebration. Our engagement party was mostly attended by our church members and a few of hubby’s close university friends; most of them are girls. Hmmm…I wonder whether some of them got broken hearted that hubby chose me instead of one of them. Hehehe.

I got a lot of gift for my engagement day and most of them are not practical except for the photo albums and bedsheet set. The reason they are not practical because I am staying with my MIL and I don’t need more plates and saucers. And we are not a coffee drinker so a coffee maker is still sitting in our cupboard as a display item. I don’t feel nice giving it away coz it is a gift for us.

To me, I would rather ask the couple what they need before I send the couple a gift for their engagement or I would just give them cash and they can use it to buy the things that they really need.

Marriage Vow Renewal

We missed the marriage vow renewal end of last month which was held in church. We were asked whether we want to participate but we declined because we are very much in love and felt that we just got married yesterday. hehehe.

Well, have you even seen a couple renewing their marriage vow with a baby latching to the bride's boobs? LOL.

Maybe we will do it when all our children have grown up like when we celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. If we can afford, we would like to plan for destination weddings just for close family members. That's would fun right? ;)

Getting A Rich Husband

We, one of my nieces and I was watching 500 days of Summer last night in my room. There was a wedding scene in the movie. I casually told my niece to find a rich Caucasian husband so that he can sponsor all of us to their wedding overseas. This will be our only chance to travel oversea. hahaha. I hope Cancun Destination Wedding will be in her wishlist then we got to experience the most talked white sandy beach holiday destination. She must have the wedding reception on the beach during sunset then all of us can party until the next morning!

Destination Weddings

To date we have 2 wedding invitation cards. They reminds me of my wedding and the "glamor" of it. Till today, hubby regretted not throwing me in the swimming pool. ;) I wonder any of my friends is planning for destination weddings. I read that Riviera Maya has one of the best white-sand beaches; perfect for beach wedding. Maybe if God willing, I want to have a beach wedding at sunset. Oh ya! Of course with the same man that I am still deeply in love with. That wedding will be the renewal of our wedding vow. How's that? :D

Wedding Anniversary Coming Soon

My 8th wedding anniversary is coming soon. I wonder whether I will get any fashion jewelry from hubby this time. Normally we will go for a dinner and a movie but this year, we can't do that because I am still in confinement. My confinement will only be over when my newborn is 1 month old; that will be on May 16.

During confinement, the mother cannot go out and be exposed to too much wind, she cannot bath or wash her hair for the whole month (I broke this rule!) and she can only eat certain kind of food to strengthen her body again after the child birth.

Let's see when the day come. I might break this one month rule too! LOL

No Time for Blogging

Before I discovered that I am pregnant with my No.4, I started quite a number of blogs for Adsense purposes. One of it is a Wedding Website. Now, they are all abandon because I was too sick to sit for a long period in front of the computer. Now, even though the morning sickness is gone, I can't sit for too long due to backache. =(

After I give birth, if time permits, I might start again blogging for Adsense purposes. But I doubt with 4 children I will have time for blogging. Hopping from one wedding website to another is possible but to blog about wedding and what nots, don't think so. =P

Hardworking BIL

My youngest BIL is one hardworking man. He will always look for ways to make more money. Maybe because he has a high maintenance wife! LOL.

He owns his own business selling Alkaline Water, RO Water and Water Filtration System, he is also one of our Local Wedding Photographers and when time permits he will travel to neighbouring country to find business opportunity.

Sometimes I wish my husband is like him but we are easily contented with the little that we have. =P Maybe I should demand more from hubby then he will get his butt moving. But then arh...surely hubby will tell me to go back to work! LOL

Wedding Dinner at Mahkota Hotel

We attended a wedding dinner last night at Mahkota Hotel. We have not been there since my best friend wedding which was a year after mine and on hubby's birthday. That was 6 years ago. Nothing much has change since then except the hotel name. It was Century Mahkota when I has my wedding there.

The food was so so; well nothing beats Chinese Restaurant cooking with their signature dish; roasted piglets. =D

The bride and bridegroom are simply a beautiful couple. But I didn't notice any engagement rings on her finger. I think she was wearing glove. Oh well, that is not important eh. Most importantly, I pray that they will have a good marriage life with lots of kids! LOL.

Wedding Planning

Ok lar. Let's talk about wedding now. I have a wedding to attend one day before my birthday; in less than 4 months time. It is the wedding of the last member in my family; my youngest sister.

I still have not buy any dress for it because I wanna go on diet first. It would be wondering if my sister would include aerobic class in her Wedding Planning so that her fat sister would look stunning on her wedding day too.

Oh ya, if you wanna get married, my advice is; please don’t do everything by yourself. Hire a wedding planner. It is worth it, I tell you. You would enjoy your wedding day better; stress free.
