God's Wallet

Do you know that we are God's wallet? God is using us as a vessel in this world to help others in need. When pray for financial help, God can just increase the amount in our savings account. The banking system will go haywire. So what He can do is use people like you and me to bless others with our money. We must be a willing wallet too you know; don't let the zipper or snap button get stuck. Give willingly and cheerfully and God will surely put more in His wallet for us to spend; maybe, more than enough to buy gold bullion and to continue giving.

Donate Cars To Make Videos

We are thinking of selling my old junk and get a better car that can bring us outstation without any hiccups. I am not so sure my car has anymore resale value. Worse come to worse, I just look for non-profit company that takes car donation like Car Angel.

At least I know they can use it for better purpose like selling them to raise money to make videos for kids and teens and share the Word of God to them.

Car Angel at www.carangel.com have given away over 2.4 million videos and more is coming is we keep on giving. :)

Here's a sample of their video; http://youtube.com/user/boatangel

Extra Christmas Present

I have 5 extra Christmas present. I bought them for hubby’s nieces and nephew who is supposed to come back today but I heard that they canceled their plan because my SIL is suffering from a backache.

Should I keep it till they come back for CNY or I open it up and let my children plays with it? Hehe.

Christmas Gift Dilemma 2

This is also the first year I became close to some of the blogger mommies whom are also my chat buddies. They know that I am a Christian. I wonder whether they are expecting any Christmas present from me. Should I buy for them or for their children? Maybe I will give them a surprise. No gift from me! Hiak hiak hiak hiak. :P

Christmas Gift Dilemma 1

In my previous church, on Christmas day, the parents will buy small gift for all the children in church, mostly chocolates and candies. This year I am attending another church and this will be my first Christmas with them.

I wonder what is their culture there. Will there be any gift exchange? If I were to bring gifts, I worry that I will pressure them to do the same next year. Some of them are not that well off. Must ask my BIL who attended that church about it this Sunday.

I Love Coffee Aroma

Sometimes I wish that my body can take in caffein. Meaning I can drink coffee. I really like the aroma of coffee . I can't even drink decaf coffee, I will still experience the side effect of the non decaf coffee like giddiness, nauseous and sweaty.

I even have espresso machines at home. A wedding gift. It has been sitting in my cupboard for almost 7 years, unused because hubby also did not drink coffee due to health reason. But I do not have the heart to gift it away or sell it because it is a gift for us. Anyone sell you gifts before?

Christmas Gift for Colleagues

Christmas is slightly more than a month away. Have you started planning what to buy for your dear colleagues? To me, my colleagues loves chocolate so the best Christmas gift for them would be a holiday gift basket filled with chocolates.

I am thinking of getting them the Holiday Brownie Sprites from Flower Shop. It has four each of 12 Fairytale flavors which are nestled inside a festive Holiday gift box. The flavors include Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Coconut, Espresso Nic, Mint Chocolate, Original, Peanut Butter, Pecan, Raspberry Swirl, Toffee Crunch, Walnut, White Chocolate.

I only have two colleagues left so each of them can get two of each flavor. :)

Make Pounds with Money4Banners

I found out about Money4Banners when this gentleman (oh! sorry the blogger is a girl!) left a comment in my blog. Before I publish any comments, I will usually check the commenter's blog if any to see whether it is a spam or porn site. Well, he has 3 blogs that talks about making money online!

With Money4Banners, we will get paid in pounds, that RM x 7! Once your blog is approved, you will be paid £10.00 for signing up and then £5.00 every month (Amazon voucher or cash via PayPal) as long as the banner is up in your blog.

I just sign up and hoping my blog will be approved in 2 days time. It would be wonderful if we can make £5.00 instead of USD5.00, then I would be investing my money in real estate. :)

But then, I think I will ask my BIL who is living in UK to open a PayPal account and I will give this money to him instead because they are very tight financially due to my SIL's breast cancer illness.

Branded Baby Clothes for Sale

I was looking for an ointment that dropped under the bed last night. Instead of ointment, I bought a bag full of baby clothes. They are all quite new as my children only wear them until they are 3 months old. I am thinking whether to place them on eBay so that I can earn some money rather than just giving it away. They are branded clothes!

Come to think of it, I don't really have much time to spend taking pictures of them. I think I just drop them at Salvation Army and let them earn some money selling them. :)

Reminder to Give to the Needy

One of my purpose writing paid post besides getting side income to help release hubby's burden providing for the family is to give to the needy.

From the very beginning I set aside 10% to give to them. Until today, I have only given twice excluding those I gave monthly to my missionary friend who is serving in Kupang, Indonesia as bible translator under Wycliffe.

This morning, as I was writing the cheque for this month tithe, I noticed there is a column for giving to the Needy on the envelope given by the church.

All this while I never notice that! I think God opened my eyes today as I have not been giving for a few months already! hehe. So, I gave today and for months to come too. :D

If I have $1 million

There's a tag going around the blogosphere on what will you do if you have one million dollar. If I have one million the second thing that I will do is resign from my current job and go full time blogging. I would renovate a room into my home office with Bush furniture so that I would be able to have some privacy to think, to read and to blog. Oh ya, you might be wondering why I said "second". The first thing that I will do is give 10% to God and another 10% to charity. :)

Backdated Giving

We are supporting a missionary family who is currently serving in Kupang, Indonesia as a bible translator under Wycliffe. Their job is to learn their language and then translate the bible to the local Kupang language which is very different from Bahasa Indonesia. A very challenging job.

Since I am not into language and let alone translation, I give my support thru prayer and giving and I have missed my giving to them for the past 3 months! Am not giving any excuses and start writing their cheque now! :P

This is also part of my motivation to write paid post. To give. ;)

The Joy of Giving

The bible says that when you give, do not let your left hand know that you right hand is giving. Something like that. In another word, don’t announce to the world that you give like the Pharisees do. The bible also says that it is better to give than to receive. This is what I wanna share.

Almost everyday I receive an amount from PPP. At first I felt very excited about it. The same feeling when you received your first pay check. After months passed by, no money excitement to it. You felt that you work hard, you deserve the payment.

But when it comes to giving, especially to someone in need. The joy and the excitement are even greater. Just the thought about giving to someone makes me happy already and when I actually have the money to give, I gave. And the look of the face of the receiver is precious. Just like when my children receives toys from me. It makes me wanna give more.

If you never give to the needy before, give and you will understand what I am mumbling here. :D
