My eldest is no longer enjoying her art class since I sent her to the art class offered by the kindy. I am not sure whether it is due to the noisy and warm class or the teaching method. I think both contribute to her being reluctant to attend the art class.
Her previous art class was in air-conditioned room and quiet environment but there was only colouring without any drawing which is her main interest; to draw.
Now, the art class she is attending in kindy offers drawing and colouring but I guess the colouring part was too short/little that she don’t have enough of it. Furthermore, the class is real noisy and warm; no air-cond, just ceiling fan.
All her artwork is being done in a workbook so she didn’t get to bring the book home to show us. In a way, she does not hear any praise from us for her good job unlike the previous art class where she gets to bring home her artwork after every class and I will laminate them and hang them on the wall.
At that time I was thinking if we were to move to another state, we would need the Art Storage Company to move all her artwork to our new home! =D

Princess and Her Artist Mom
You know the movie Princess Diaries? The movie was out a few years ago and recently it was show on Astro Disney Chanel. My 5yo daughter was so excited to watch the movie because all girls like Princess. Unfortunately, her grandfather wanted to watch the news and she have to give in. She was grumbling to me and told me to buy the DVD. Long time already, dunno whether the DVD is still sold out there.
I did some magic and manage to download the movie using BitComet. It took 2 days for it to complete. Thank God we are downloading other movies at the same time, if not buying a DVD would be cheaper.
In the movie, the Princess is so blessed to have a mother who is an artist and the way she creates her art is so interesting. She filled balloons with all sort of colours, hang them on a huge canvas and use the dart to pop the balloon and the colours will be all smeared on the canvas. It looks so much fun doing that. Maybe one day, I would try with my own children.
With the canvas so huge, I guess they have to hire an art moving company if they ever need to move. I don't think it would fit in a normal truck unless she folds it.

Art Class
Due to our financial situation right now, I have stopped my girl from attending art class in town. This month, the fee has increased from RM35 to RM40. It is not only the fee that matters but the parking fee, petrol and time. Since it is in town, we will tend to have supper after her art class ended! That is extra expenses.
Well, I am not that cruel to just let her stop completely. Come this Wednesday, she will be attending art class in her own kindy. It is only RM25 per month and they will teach her from basic; colour matching and drawing skill. It will start 1 hour after her kindy ended, so I will just send her lunch when fetching her sister home and fetch her before going home from my mom's after lunch. That would save a lot of petrol and time; not forgetting art class fee too. :D
With her passion in arts, I am sure in no time I would need Art Storage. I hope that her skills will really be polished and she will create her masterpiece soon.
If she is not good in her studies, which she is VERY good at, she can always open an art class and teach. That is a good business now. If she has a fix job next time, she could do that part time and earn more money. :D
