Hong Leong Bank FD for Retiree is 5%

I came to know that Hong Leong Bank is offering a good interest rate for fixed deposit to those aged 56 and above; at 5%.

So I am pestering my dad to withdraw his FD in HSBC and open the one at HLB. I called HSBC for the procedure to withdraw and was very surprise to know that the current FD interest rate is only 2%.

Looks like we are going to the bank today and head to furniture shop to check out their discount sectionals. LOL

No lar, I am not going to swindle my dad's hard earn money. =P
