When I was in my teenager years I have a lot penpal. Local and international. We correspondence by snail mail very frequent. At that time, email does not exist yet. One of the ways we save money on buying stamps is by recycling. Not mash it and make new stamps. :P
I think most of us know this trick. We applied the glue on the stamp itself. Once we received the letter from our penpals, we will cut the stamp out from the envelope, soak the stamp in water and the black stamping ink will go off and we re-use the stamp. Hehe. Smart or not? :P
Btw, I only use trick when I am really short of cash. Nowadays, I give out stamps for free. :P
