Times Are Bad Now?

My lady boss kept telling me that times are bad now. Prices keeping increasing and people are spending less. But then I see so many new cars on the road. This indicates that people are spending; big money. This also indicates that more people are getting into debt now. Most new cars does not require down payment and these new cars owners will spend their money on auto accessories. Making their car more unique with all kind of accessories. But mostly they will add a bull bars first, safety must come first right. Then they will add wings spoilers making it look sportier. So, is time really bad now?
