Insurance Company Not Selling 3rd Party Insurance Policy to Owner of Old Junks

My dad was complaining that a few insurance companies do not want to insure old cars anymore. Normally for old cars we only buy the 3rd party insurance policy right? It is the cheapest. According to my uncle, the insurance company will only insure your car if you buy the 1st party and 3rd party policy. This will cost almost RM300 per year excluding road tax.

I wonder when these took effect. I did not read anything about it in the newspaper. I am sure the government has something to do with this because they want to phase out old junks. They are even offering trade in at RM5000 for cars older than 10 years to buy a new national car. I heard that road tax for old junks have increased too.

You know what, by doing this, their own people will suffer because if they keep using their old junks, their will have to spend more each year when renewing their road tax and insurance. If they buy a new car, every month they will have car loans to pay.

Those who are working in MNC, they do not have to worry about all these because they will surely have Auto Allowance. The poor will become poorer. Things can never change.
